🌍 Every Country I’ve Visited (So Far)… and Why Each One Left a Mark

When we first started travelling, we never set out to count countries. We were just chasing new flavours, different rhythms, and stories to bring home. But over time, the list grew—along with our gratitude.

Some places stretched us. Some wrapped us in joy. And every single one taught us something. So here’s my (current) list of 37 countries visited, each with a little something I’ll never forget.

World map with countries in green and gray. Green highlights the US, Canada, Europe, Russia, China, and Australia. No visible text.
Colouring in my world map has turned into a hobby!

Thanks to my career as a Travel Agent, I got to experience a whole lot of the world! Ash is still a few countries behind me..

✈️ My Country List

  1. United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sky-high cities and souks filled with gold—Dubai was our first taste of the Middle East.

  2. Morocco A riot of colour and spice. We got lost in Marrakesh and loved every second.

  3. Thailand Street food, island time, and a warmth that stayed with us.

  4. Vietnam The food! The energy! Hoi An might be the prettiest place I’ve ever seen.

  5. Cambodia Angkor Wat was breathtaking—but it was the people that truly moved us.

  6. Macau Where old Portugal meets bright lights and big casinos.

  7. Indonesia We’ve done Bali quite few times—it always gives us exactly what we need.

  8. Singapore Squeaky clean and full of flavour. Hawker centre heaven.

  9. Malaysia We ate our way through Kuala Lumpur and never looked back.

  10. Mauritius A dreamy little slice of paradise with serious honeymoon energy (plus I walked with Lions!)

  11. New Zealand Our laid-back, stunning neighbour. Like home, but wilder.

  12. Mexico Tacos, colour, joy. We danced, we ate, we stayed longer than planned.

  13. Cuba Like stepping back in time. Music, soul, and vintage magic.

  14. USA So many vibes in one place—from NYC buzz to California calm.

  18. Hungary Budapest brought thermal baths, ruin bars and some of the best views of the Danube.

  19. Slovakia Small, sweet, and a little under-the-radar. We loved its quiet charm.

  20. Greece Sunsets in Santorini, grilled octopus, and island hopping dreams.

  21. Austria Classic, elegant, and full of cake. Vienna won me over.

  22. Italy Always, always Italy. Pasta, piazzas, and pure romance.

Where to Next?

We’re not racing to tick off countries. Some places deserve a return trip, and others were just right for that season in life. But each one gave us something—and reminded us how vast and connected the world really is.

Next up is our yacht trip through Croatia and exploring Bosnia & Herzegovina!

And then... where should we go next?
